Correction
In its issue no. 377, Marianne published an article entitled "Is there any complicity between Bush and Ben Laden?" and an article entitled "The Harken miracle, how a trusted member of the Ben Laden family saved Bush Jr from bankruptcy".
Mr Khaled Ben Mahfouz has sent us the following corrections:
* Neither Mr Ben Mahfouz, nor any other member of his family, has ever had any links with Osama Ben Laden, nor financed any kind of terrorism or terrorist organisation.
* Mr Ben Mahfouz is not the brother-in-law of Osama Ben Laden.
* Mr Ben Mahfouz is not a shareholder of the Banque nationale du commerce (National Commercial Bank), since he sold his shares in this bank between 1997 and the end of 2002, nor is he a shareholder of BCCI (Bank of Credit and Commerce International), having sold his shares in this bank, and he completely rejects the allegation that he has been involved in the illegal dealings of which this bank is suspected.
* Mr Ben Mahfouz has never been under house arrest in any country, and has never been suspected of committing any kind of offence or crime by the authorities in Saudi Arabia or in America.
