Sheikh Khalid Bin Mahfouz
Correction:

The Munster Express Limited wishes to make the following correction to statements published in this newspaper on the 4th. day of April, 2003, and on our website:

1. Sheikh Khalid Bin Mahfouz is neither the brother-in-law nor a close relative of Osama Bin Laden.

2. Sheikh Khalid Bin Mahfouz was not under house arrest in Saudia Arabia on foot of allegations by the FBI and CIA.

Sheikh Khalid Bin Mahfouz and his family are on public record as stating: "The single most difficult thing was the sadness, indeed horror, we all experienced over the events of September llth. Second to that, we have been distressed and increasingly angered over false media reports suggesting that members of my family may have been in some way linked to financially supporting terrorist groups or activities. There is no truth in these reports. We condemn terrorism in all of its forms and manifestations."

The Munster Express notes that similar corrections have been published in other leading publications, including the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the Sunday Independent, Fortune Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, the Mail on Sunday and Penguin books.
